Surgitate designs and fabricates synthetic tissue and organ models
Lack of cadavers and organ models hinders the quality of medical education; therefore, there is a need for a reliable and sustainable training medium for ever-growing number of medical students and personnel. Surgitate designs and fabricates silicone-based surgical models that are engineered to simulate mechanical responses of real organs to incision, dissection, and suturing. In our portfolio, we have skin, breast, microsurgery, vascular surgical models as well as a self-awareness model for breast cancer. On our breast model, several modern oncoplastic techniques can be practiced—Surgitate is the only company in the world that produces a stand-alone surgical breast model. The microsurgery model offers a standard medium for the repair of a fifth degree nerve injury. We aim to improve the quality of surgical trainings via our practical, accessible, and tactile simulation platforms.
